Fulfilling Our Responsibility Towards a Sustainable Future

An environmental stewardship initiative inspired by the Islamic principle of Amanah (Trust and Responsibility). Together, we plant today for a greener, healthier and more resilient tomorrow.

"And do not cause corruption on the earth after [it has been] set in order. And pray to Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good." (Surah Al-A'raf 7:56)
Who can participate? Universities & Higher Education Institutions, Corporate Organisations, Government Agencies, Environmental NGOs, Community Organisations, Youth & Student Organisations, WIEW Strategic Partners & Sponsors

Our Objectives

  • Promote environmental sustainability and climate action in line with Islamic values.
  • Encourage corporate participation in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
  • Strengthen collaboration between universities, corporates, government agencies and communities.

  • Tree Planting Initiative: Planting trees at selected locations in collaboration with local authorities, universities and community groups.
  • ESG & Sustainability Awareness Session: Highlighting ESG, climate resilience and environmental conservation from Islamic and global perspectives.
  • Corporate ESG Participation: Be part of your ESG, CSR and sustainability commitments while supporting a greener and more resilient future.
  • University Green Volunteer Programme: Students as environmental ambassadors to lead and inspire sustainability action.
  • Sustainability Pledge Ceremony: Organisations and institutions pledge their commitment towards a sustainable and responsible future.

Overview: The 5MT Competition provides a platform for researchers to communicate complex ideas in a simple, engaging and impactful way to a diverse audience. Participants have 5 minutes to present their research with one static slide.
